A Social Network. A Charity. The Diabetic Revolution.

This isn’t a “Poor me, I’m diabetic” social network—if you are looking for that, well, keep Googling, you’ll find something we’re sure. This is a Community of Rockstars, people who refuse to allow diabetes from letting them live their life to the fullest, people who Fight Back against not only diabetes, but the stereotypes, misconceptions and inaccuracies related to the condition. One of the best things about the Rockstar Community is that you don’t have to be diabetic to join our Revolution; you don’t have to be any certain age, race, creed, diagnosis type…Diabetic Rockstar is for all people who wish to live life the way it is meant to be lived.

A ROCKSTAR...

1. Lives life by their own rules, fighting back against stereotypes, misconceptions and harassment. If no one ever stood up for what they believe in there would never be a revolution.

2. Is not complacent and does not live by the status-quo. Life is special, so do something special.

3. Does not say "I'll do it tomorrow”. Every breath could be your last. Ask the 9/11 heroes, the Virginia Tech students, the lost miners. How do you want to go out? Most of all, A Rockstar is someone who lives their life to the fullest, realizing we are not here for a long time... So we better make it a good time. This is the Diabetic Revolution. This is DiabeticRockstar.com

This is your community—please, interact and share your experiences. We are always looking for volunteers to help us build and maintain this website and our charity endeavors; the reality is that we are still very new, and are completely “grassroots”, allowing us plenty of room to expand and make more of a difference. If you like what you see, consider donating or purchasing Diabetic Rockstar merchandise—or maybe organizing a fundraising event of your own. All the money we raise directly helps individual diabetics.

There are organizations focused on education, and ones focused on research… we are focused on helping individuals. We are fighting for those waiting for a cure.

As those of you who have read my page know, Kevin was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was 15 years old. Since his diagnosis he was been on top of caring for himself, monitoring, dosing, you name it. He was doing so well that I never would have anticipated him having a problem for years and years to come, perhaps even never. But sometimes things just don't work out that way.It all started on the 17th, which was a Tuesday. I talked to Kevin that night and I asked him if he wanted to video…See More
